From a Street Cart Dream to a Goan Dining Destination

Gharan is not just a restaurant—it’s a story of resilience, family, and the flavors of home. During the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Yash Haldankar, Padmaja Naik, and Prajyot Naik were facing a tough time managing day-to-day expenses. Rather than giving in to the challenges, they decided to take a bold step—launching a small food cart in Porvorim called FuelBar.

With honesty, hard work, and a deep love for food, what began as a modest cart soon gained popularity for its taste and heart. FuelBar became a local favorite, known for its comforting food and welcoming service.

As word spread and support grew, so did their dream. Today, that small cart has evolved into Gharan—a cozy, family-run restaurant that stays true to its roots. At Gharan, Yash’s mother prepares authentic Goan dishes in traditional homestyle fashion, keeping the soul of the kitchen alive.

Each dish tells a story of home, and every guest becomes part of our journey. We invite you to experience the love, flavor, and warmth that brought Gharan to life.
